The Agency Growth & Development (AG&D) Team at International Planning Alliance, LLC (IPA) is highly committed to providing elite training, mentorship, and accountability essential for entry-level candidates to achieve explosive growth in a career as a Financial Representative of Guardian. Our team developed a proprietary Training Platform that has an unprecedented success rate, allowing retention of new agents to remain at an all time high.

Our team is currently comprised of four managers– all of whom started as Financial Representatives and desired to move forward as part of Guardian’s middle-management program. Anthony, Steve, Christine and Carl are highly committed to the professional development of candidates at International Planning Alliance,LLC. Our Training Platform now features a specialized fast track program to develop exceptional individuals into top performing Financial Representatives achieving sustained success.

Another accomplishment of the AG&D Team includes the development and successful implementation of their Financial Representative Summer Internship Program - aligned with the same guiding principles as their new agent development program. Upcoming college graduates are offered a structured twelve week basic training program to explore their suitability as a Financial Representative of Guardian. With direct mentorship from our AG&D team members, many of our summer interns choose to work part-time with us throughout their final semesters of school. Over the course of their internship training, our candidates complete pre-employment requirements allowing for a seamless transition from graduation to their new career as a Financial Representative. We also work closely with students and their schools to be able to offer co-op credit for our internship training.

International Planning Alliance's Training Program also provides in-house new candidate development using the time-tested One Card System by industry legend Al Granum, enrollment into the American College's Life Underwriting Training Council Fellowship (LUTCF) program, and Guardian's proprietary planning software - The Living Balance Sheet®.

Carl Barling

Carl joined International Planning Alliance, LLC as a Financial Representative in 2007, after leaving a 17 year career as a manager with Culligan Water. Carl joined IPA's management team in July of 2009. As part of the AG& D team he helps train, manage, and recruit new representatives at IPA. His work with new agents is specialized in Sales Management, Accountability, Mentorship, and Joint Work.

Carl is currently Life and Health licensed in New York, New Jersey and Illinois and is Series 6 licensed. Carl is an avid hockey fan and has been an NHL Off-Ice Official and New Jersey Youth Hockey League Referee-In-Chief for the last 10 years. Carl is married to Kristin Barling and has two children, Emily and Ryan. The family currently resides in Sparta, New Jersey.

Anthony Campanile

Anthony Campanile became a Financial Representative with International Planning Alliance in June of 2008 after graduating from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. As a two time Northeast Conference (NEC) Champion and one time Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Champion in Men's Golf, Anthony excelled as both a varsity athlete and in the classroom graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Marketing. He joined the International Planning Alliance sales management team in February 2010 and specializes in recruiting, developing, training, and mentoring new agents. Anthony is life and health insurance licensed in New Jersey, New York, and Illinois and is Series 7 licensed. He currently resides in Spring Lake Heights, NJ.

Steve Cucinelli

Steve joined International Planning Alliance, LLC as a Financial Representative in 2007 after leaving a career in media relations in the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. Steve graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD with a Bachelors degree in Government and Politics. He joined IPA's management team in February of 2008 and as part of the AG&D Team Steve helps to train, manage, coach and recruit new Financial Representatives. His work with new agents includes areas such as prospecting for clients, financial planning strategies, time management, setting and achieving sales targets and goals, marketing, and building and maintaining client relationships.

Steve holds his life and health insurance licenses in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland and Florida as well as his Series 7 license. He has also completed the General Agent and Managers Association (GAMA) Foundation prestigious workshops in Building the Right People and The Essentials of Leadership Development. He currently resides in Matawan, New Jersey.

Christine Esposito

Christine joined International Planning Alliance as a Financial Representative in February 2008 after having owned a motorsport marketing business in 2004 and real estate title insurance agency in 2006. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Christine had seriously considered a career as a Naval Officer and was the recipient of an NROTC scholarship. Deciding to follow her passion to become a business owner rather than to serve, she attended Monmouth University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.

Christine's primary responsibilities as part of the AG&D team include recruiting, marketing, networking education, and new agent development. She is very active in the community serving as a volunteer to the Department of Defense (ESGR) and Career Coach Mentor to students at Monmouth University. In 2009, she was honored as the recipient of Monmouth University’s Volunteer of the Year Award. Christine is a founding member of the BNI networking group Rock Solid Referrals and also is a active member of the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (NJSHRM) and the New Jersey Association of Colleges and Employers (NJACE).

Christine and her husband, Nick Esposito currently reside in Jackson, New Jersey.
